Words

No purpose, no point. Just was curious about a few words this Christmas night. I’d just watched Equilibrium tonight, as i recently hit upon a dystopian movie watching streak. And knowing the adjective of the movie was dystopia, I wondered what other words also related to it… These are my findings:

apathy [ap-uh-thee]
noun, plural -thies.
lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.

dystopia [dis-toh-pee-uh]
noun

ennui [ahn-wee, ahn-wee]
noun
a feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest; boredom:

farcical   [fahr-si-kuhl]
adjective
resembling farce; ludicrous; absurd.

inane   [ih-neyn]
adjective
lacking sense, significance, or ideas; silly:

misanthrope [mis-uhn-throhp, miz-]
noun
a hater of humankind.
